Phillip George's credits include 14 editions of Forbidden Broadway in New York, Chicago, London, Los Angeles, Toronto and the national tour. These editions have won 5 Drama Desk Awards, 4 Outer Critics Circle Awards, The Jefferson Award, and a special 2006 Tony. He also Directed Forbidden Hollywood in L.A. and New York. He created and directed Shout! The Mod Musical. He is a co-creator and director of Whoop-Dee-Doo in both New York and London. He was an artist in residence for five years at the Kings Head in London where he directed Kean, Much Revue About Nothing, and Frankly, Scarlett which he also co-authored with longtime collaborator Peter Charles Morris. Other London credits include Escape from Pterodactyl Island, The Famous Five, and Listen to the Wind. Other directing credits include Road to Qatar (the York), A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (5th Avenue Theatre, Seattle). He is currently working on Gotta Getta Girl and Nellie Beezer's Melting Pot Follies of 1922. He returns to his hometown annually to direct new editions of the popular revue High Hair and Jalapenos.
