My school Drama Club is doing Alice in Wonderland jr. in the fall. Has anyone ever done this show using one actor for the Cheshire Cat instead of three. I'm not crazy about have a three headed cat. I know they are supposed to be the head, body, and tail but I can't get passed the three heads. I would rather use one actor. Has anyone done that?

I did this with three actresses, casting 3 entirely different personalities. One wore the tail, and one wore the ears. I put the most sarcastic of the three in the middle. It actually worked really well. I can understand your hesitance about a three headed cat, but the show lends itself to a little insanity...

HI Denise! The original concept of three Chesire Cats when this show was adapted, was to provide parts for a lot of cast as many are trying to include casts of thousands!! It is absolutely fine to have your Chesire Cat go solo - it will not alter the storytelling! Have fun with this show!
