The standard instrumentation indicates one trumpet and no trombone. The cast recordings include a second trumpet , trombone, and tuba.

The standard orchestration (14 pieces) does not feature a trombone, however this is the full orchestration for the show. The show has been re orchestrated since the Broadway cast recording. It is a gorgeous arrangement, take a listen on the acc and guide vocal available from Mti on the website.
