So, after reading all about the RENT ending being altered at Towson University and MTI's response to that I was wondering how exactly MTI keeps up with all the shows it licenses to make sure nothing is changed. I know I have seen several productions where I live that have cut music and lines, even changed endings. Obviously nothing has ever happened at these tiny little community theatres to discourage this. It just got me thinking about how MTI tries to keep up with these types of things. Any thoughts?

I don't think they keep up with them as far as seeing each production. I beleive the director at TU made it public that she was changing it....also, the RENT heads probably went nuts!
