The jack-of-all trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family members how to value each other again. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren't the only ones upon whom she has a profound effect. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that "Anything can happen if you let it."

How are people handling the special effects of Mary Poppins, when performing the junior version?
We are a Children's Theatre and will be performing this as a class project with a very small budget. We are just wondereing if there are any suggestions of how to handle the special effects in this situation?

Can I get a copy of just the lyrics for the songs?
I am directing Mary Poppins this year and I have an ensemble cast of K-6th grade. These kids do not read music notes and since they are just ensemble I do not want to give them a script since I have a limited number of scripts. I'd like to know if there is a place where I can just print the lyrics for these kids to practice their songs.

Are we able to write arrangements from the vocal piano score for other instrumentation, so that our school band can be involved in our production?

Are further costs per month added to the show materials cost dependent on how long you would like the script for?
I am wanting to know whether the Show Materials cost of $895 is a one-off payment for an unlimited amount of time or whether there are additional monthly costs etc, as with the adult version of Mary Poppins. For example, We would not be putting a show on at our school until September next year, but are wanting to get an idea of what the script looks like and the music as we would want to get more than a piano working on it. We would be wanting at least a perusal now and to get everything in properly in February next year.
Also, what are the legalities involved if our Music teacher were to write in a few instrumental aprts for students to play along with the piano score provided. Is this allowed?
