Shell Ramirez graduated from the DeKalb School of the Arts and attended Webster University as an Opera Major. Fast Forward to becoming a mother and with joy rediscovered Musical Theater as a director of a program for her kids. After becoming a Freddie G in 2011 she has only worked harder to become better. Attending JTF every year since 2010 she has helped her group achieve 2012 best actor, 2013 Excellence in Music, 2015 best student Choreographer’s, 2016 Excellence in Music, 2017 Best Actor, 2018 inspiration Award, 2020 Excellence in Ensemble and Best Student Director, 2022 Excellence in Ensemble, 2023 Best Student Choreographer and Tech Olympic winners, 2024 Excellence in Ensemble Decatur Community Players with Shell as the director works hard to promote the whole child. All productions are child lead and develop amazing life skills. We promote an environment of risk taking, balance, communication, and fun.
