Shirlee Idzakovich is a Costume Designer who lives in New York City. She has hundreds of costume build-outs to her name and continues to work on many Broadway, Pre-Broadway, movie and TV shows. She has a passion for teaching the next generation how to create a costume plot from initial idea to the stage. Shirlee teaches PDI classes at ITF and at the National Conference for teachers. She is involved with the Junior Theatre Festival in both Atlanta and Sacramento. She has traveled the world to costume shows, teach at universities, and serve as a guest lecturer on the art of costuming. She is currently on the Modular Curriculum Framework Team as the Costume Design Artist and is the recipient of the prized Freddie G. She is a published editor and also a teacher with the Broadway Youth of Cebu, Philippines. She is currently filming segments for a costuming video program and has spent much of the past two years embarking on a COSTUME and FASHION MUSEUM study of the world that will be published next year.
