About the license application of "Between the lines"
Hello, I'm Jenny, a music teacher in Hong Kong. I've searched and read the synopsis of the musical "Between the lines" and found that it is very interesting -- the story is fabulous and the music is wonderful. And I would like to work this musical out with my students. I would like to know when the license of this musical be released? I would like to put this on the stage in September, 2024 and the rehearsals will be started in August, 2023. Do you think I can apply the licence before June, 2023?

The Drowsy Chaperone begins with a recorded overture. Is that provided?
The show begins with the man in the chair putting on a record, and the live band comes in at around m65. Is that initial recording provided in the materials when you license the show, or is the live band expected to record that and then join their recorded selves during the performances?

set and costuming restrictions
In the online perusal, there is a note about the importance of using the pallette and look from the original TV series. The promotional performance images are straight from the original creators' vision. However, although that is ideal, are there any licensing/ permission hurdles to do so?

High School Casting?
Would a high school be able to do this show without any references to race? Coming from a not so diverse school, I am wondering if Apollo could be played by a white actor and any lines with a specific reference to race changed?
