SIDE 1

ANNIE
What are those guys with spikes on their backs?

JACK
(pointing to picture in the book) They're called, "Ankylosaurus." (As if in a pageant, each group of DINOSAURS moves to the spotlight when they are talked about, and address their lines to the audience, as if the information in the book is coming to life.)

ANKYLOSAURUS
(to audience) Don't worry, we prefer ferns to flesh. These spikes are for protection, not destruction. We may weigh four tons, but the only way we can keep a T-Rex from flipping us over and snacking on our soft underbelly is to keep our spikes nice and... spikey.

ANNIE
I like the little ones with the frilly stuff on their necks.

JACK
Those are Protoceratops.

PROTOCERATOPS
We travel in herds because we're what you mightcall the runts of the dinosaur litter. There's safety in numbers, plus, everything's more fun when you're with your friends.

ANNIE
And look at those!

IGUANODONS
We're Iguanodons. We have spikes for thumbs. Cool, huh? And even though we walk on all fours, if we need to run fast, we can really book it on two legs.

PANOPLOSAURUS
We don't have thumbs, but we have three fingers. We're called Panoplosaurus. Yeah, try and say that five times fast. It means, completely armoured lizard, but if it's easier, you can just call us, Tank.
