September 24 marks the start of performances for the Jason Robert Brown (THE LAST FIVE YEARS, 13) and Alfred Uhry Broadway musical, which earned the writers Tony Awards for Best Score and Best Book, respectively.  Starring T.R. Knight (Grey's Anatomy), Michael Beresse (A Chorus Line, The Light In The Piazza), Charlotte d'Amboise (A Chorus Line), and Christian Hoff (Jersey Boys), Tony Award winner Rob Ashford directs and choreographs this Center Theatre Group production at the Mark Taper Forum.  This production is a direct transfer of one performed at London's acclaimed Donmar Warehouse in 2007.

PARADE tells the true story of Leo Frank, a Jewish factory manager in 1913 Atlanta accused of murdering a 13-year-old girl who was one of his workers.  Between intense governmental pressure to convict someone-anyone-for the crime and the public's pre-existing suspicion of him as a northerner and a Jew, Leo's situation quickly goes from bad to frightening.  But his persistent wife's attempts to clear his name gives Leo hope for not only his life, but his marriage, as well. Alfred Uhry's epic book and Jason Robert Brown's emotionally resonant blues and pop-rock infused score paint a dynamic landscape of the American South at the turn of the century-with the plight of one man at its heart.
