This Pride Month, we are celebrating six incredible titles that honor the richness of the LGBTQ+ community! Over the last few weeks, we've been spotlighting each title on our social media platforms. These shows tell us that no matter where we are - whether a shoe factory in Northampton, the streets of Dublin, New York City's East Village, or the throes of grief - we can always find community. So take a look at our 2023 Pride collection and find a story that inspires you.

Kinky Boots

The big-hearted musical extravaganza that won six Tonys including Best Musical, the Grammy for Best Musical Theatre album and London’s Olivier Award for Best Musical. Charlie Price has reluctantly inherited his father's shoe factory, which is on the verge of bankruptcy. Trying to live up to his father's legacy and save his family business, Charlie finds inspiration in the form of Lola, a fabulous entertainer in need of some sturdy stilettos. Kinky Boots is a joyful celebration of embracing your true self and raising each other up!

Quilt, A Musical Celebration

Quilt is a thoughtful collage of stories and songs honoring those memorialized by the NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt. Started in 1985 by activist Cleve Jones, the Quilt is comprised of 50,000 panels and pays homage to over 110,000 people. In monologues and songs, Quilt, A Musical Celebration evokes a full range of powerful emotions, as so many lives are honored.

In Transit

This a cappella musical depicts the intersecting lives of New York City's commuters, including Trent and Steven. Recently engaged, they're excited to start a new chapter in their life, but there's one catch: Trent's mother has no idea about their relationship - or even that Trent is gay. As Trent finds courage with Steven's support, they realize that they have made an unbreakable new family and home together.

Renascence

A theatrical exploration of identity and artistry through the poems of Edna St. Vincent Millay, Renascence follows the early years of the Pulitzer-winning poet's life. As Millay discovers the richness of her creativity and queerness, her career boldly blossoms. Renascence invites its performers and audience to sit in the poet’s soul and view humanity and nature as if through her window.

A Man of No Importance

A Man of No Importance is a tender musical with a book by the great Terrence McNally and score by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty. When bus conductor Alfie Byrne attempts to put on an amateur production of Oscar Wilde's Salome in the local church hall, he confronts the forces of bigotry and shame over a love "that dare not speak its name." A Man of No Importance teaches us that it really is a wonderful thing to "love who you love."

Rent

Rent is set in 1990s New York City at the peak of the AIDS epidemic. Seven friends navigate life, love, and paying rent while trying to survive. A part of this group are Collins and Angel, a queer couple both struggling with AIDS, and Maureen and Joanne, another queer couple who are simply struggling with each other. Based on Giacomo Puccini's opera La Bohème this revolutionary musical encapsulates universal feelings of love, loss, and community.
