Biography
of
Lawrence Kasha
Lawrence Kasha produced in the theater for twenty years. He won the Tony Award for the musical hit Applause starring Lauren Bacall. He received an Emmy nomination for the television version.
He also received Tony nominations for Hadrian VII and the musicals Seesaw, She Loves Me and Woman of the Year. On Broadway he continued to produce Inner City, Father’s Day and No Hard Feelings.
He made his debut as producer Off-Broadway with Parade introducing Jerry Herman to New York. Directing a number of plays and musicals on Broadway and London, where he Directed Barbra Streisand in Funny Girl. He co-produced the production of the Tony nominated Stage Musical of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. In Television Lawrence Kasha was the co-executive producer of the top television series Knot’s Landing.
