Pip Mushin

A graduate of WAAPA ( Acting) and VCA ( Directing - Film/Television) Pip’s directing credits include Laughter on the 23rd Floor, Biloxi Blues, Merrily We Roll Along, Crossing Delancey, Yentl the Yeshivah Boy, From Phantom to Figaro, Arafat in Therapy, Big Al and La Serve Pedrona. Pip received critical acclaim for his direction of the musicals Avenue Q and Falsettos, as well as Neil Simon’s Biloxi Blues, named one of the “Most Outstanding and Memorable Productions of the Year” by the Victorian Drama League.

Pip’s resident director credits include the Australian premiere season of The Book of Mormon,  Opera Australia’s Evita starring Tina Arena, Fiddler on the Roof starring Anthony Warlow and Mother and Son (National tour).

As an actor Pip is well known for his role as Wayne Burns in Baz Luhrmann’s debut feature Strictly Ballroom and Stu in the award winning ABC satire Frontline. Other film and TV credits include Peter Jackson’s international hit King Kong, Queen of the Damned, The Very Excellent Mr Dundee, Muggers, Fat Pizza, The Subjects, The Dr Blake Mysteries, Halifax FP, The Secret Life of Us, Good Guys Bad Guys, Blue Heelers, Acropolis Now, Flying Doctors and Mission Impossible.
