RehearScore® is a computerized rehearsal pianist/musical director's tool for PC/Windows and Macintosh computers. This easy-to-use rehearsal aide is available with your performance license for an additional $250.00-$300.00 (depending on title) for the entire rental period.

WHAT IT DOES

MTI's RehearScore® is a proprietary sequencing software program designed specifically with the needs of a musical rehearsal in mind. Simply point-and-click to:

• Change the tempo (faster or slower) without affecting the pitch of the song (perfect for rehearsing dance numbers "under tempo")
• Start the song at any given point during the number (no more "fast-forwarding" and waiting for a cassette to get to the proper place — easy dialogue and lyric cues put you in the right place instantly)
• Transpose the key up or down in half-step increments an octave in each direction
• Isolate or increase the volume of any particular vocal line ("pull up" the altos in the chorus number, so they can hear and learn their part faster)
• Remove any particular vocal line (once the actor knows their part, they can rehearse with just the
  accompaniment)

Each RehearScore® is a complete rendition of the Piano-Conductor Score on CD-Rom, sequenced by a top Broadway pianist. Each disk includes the RehearScore® player that works on either the Windows or Mac operating system. Each show disk includes the entire piano/conductor score with the piano part, any orchestral cues, and each vocal line on its own track. Every musical number, from “Overture” to “Exit Music,” including scene changes, dance music, and underscoring, is recorded in its entirety.

Follow these 10 easy steps to download your free Rehearscore Demo for Windows:

1. Click on the Windows icon, click SAVE.
2. Click on SAVE again. After download is finished DO NOT CLICK ON CLOSE.
3. Click on OPEN
4. Click UnZip this will save the program to your 'C' drive, when finished click OK. Now click on CLOSE.
5. Go to your 'C' Drive and find the RehearScore folder, double click to open the folder.
6. Double click the Rehearscore icon to launch the Rehearscore program.
7. Click FILE (located in the upper left hand corner), click OPEN.
8. There will be a list of songs click on the song labeled SAMPLER.RSM (this is generally the last song on the list), then click OPEN.
9. Click on SONG (located at top of Rehearscore player), and there will be a list of songs, click on the one you want to hear.
10. You are now ready to play the Rehearscore.

1. Click on 8.6 or newer, this will download the Rehearscore player and song files to your desktop.
2. After it is finished downloading, it might ask you if you want to UNSTUFF IT, click ‘Yes.”
3. Now go to your desktop and find the folder named Rehearscore Demo 8.6 Folder NOT REHEARSCORE DEMO 8.6 SIT.
4. Double click on the folder (Rehearscore Demo 8.6 Folder).
5. Double click open the first icon (MTI) this will launch the rehearscore player.
6. Go SONGS on the top of your computer; you will get a drop down menu of songs, click on one.
7. You are now ready to play the Rehearscore.

1. First you MUST have a midi set-up for your computer.

2. Click on 8.5 or older, this will download the Rehearscore player and song files to your desktop.
3. After it is finished downloading, it might ask you if you want to UNSTUFF IT, click ‘Yes.”
4. Now go to your desktop and find the folder named Rehearscore Demo 8.5 Folder NOT REHEARSCORE DEMO 8.5 SIT.

To use the RehearScore® you will need:

IBM PC and Compatible Users:

An IBM or compatible computer running Windows 95 or higher (The PC RehearScore® will play through most computers’ speakers without any additional hardware necessary)

Optional (For better playback results)

• A MIDI interface or interface card (such as the Roland MPU-401)
• A synthesizer or synth module with external speakers

MACINTOSH USERS

OS X:

• A Macintosh Computer with at least 4MB RAM operating on system 8.6 or higher (The New Mac RehearScore ® for Macintosh will play through your computer’s speakers without any external hardware necessary)
• Quicktime (standard on all Macs)

NOTE: The Updated RehearScore ® for Mac is NOT designed to play through a standard MIDI configuration or operate through a third-party application.

Classic Mac:

• A Macintosh Computer with at least 4MB RAM and a serial port (modem or printer or combination) operating on system 8.5 or lower
• A MIDI Interface (available from MTI with your rental)
• A synthesizer or synth module with external speakers (Classic Mac RehearScore ® will not play through your Macintosh’s internal speakers)
