  1. This Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Car used in our June 2023 Production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. A lot of love, sweat and maybe some tears were put into this amazing car. 
  2. Our Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car was made to be a smaller model of the car that is used in professional stage musical.
  3. The car with UK registration GEN 11, which was the primary model used for the driving sequences of the 1968 musical film, photographed in September 2010.
  4. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is the vintage racing car which is featured in the book, musical film and stage production of the same name. Writer Ian Fleming took his inspiration for the car from a series of aero-engined racing cars built by Count Louis Zborowski in the early 1920s, christened Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The original Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's engine was from a Zeppelin dirigible. The name reputedly derived either from the sound it made whilst idling, or from a bawdy song from World War I

 

Description:

  1. L=10'6", W=4'6", Hgt= 5' 6" (approx. with windshield).
  2. Chitty is a fully functional drivable replica.
  3. Motion powered by 24 V wheelchair chassis (Charger included).
  4. Lighting and accessories powered by independent 12 volt system. (Battery not included) 
  5. Capable of carrying 2 adults and 2 children
  6. Can be moved in any direction with the use of a joystick.
  7. LED headlights (Controlled independently with hand held remote control).
  8. LED interior lights 
  9. LED Tail lights (battery operated)
  10. 2' by 4' wings can be extended and returned with dashboard switch.
  11. Wheels spin in both vertical (car mode) and horizontal positions (raft mode).
  12. Hood (Bonnet) removable for use as Junk Car in Scene One.  (Junk car cover included)
  13. Optional independent raft prop available.
  14. Total weight including wheel chair approx. 350-400 lbs. (without passengers).
