Welcome to MTI’s new website! It’s been a while time since our last major site overhaul, and we’re pretty excited about all the new things that you can now do online!
OUR NEW HOME PAGE

If you’re just getting started, one of the first things you’ll notice is the new scrolling show selector on left side of the main page. This is just one of many different ways to choose a show from our vast collection of musicals, and a great way to browse our titles - just like flipping through the pages of a catalogue.

In this window, you can browse through the logos of our newest titles, our featured collection for the month, or a list of all the titles that MTI Represents. When the page first loads, you’ll immediately see that the tab for “NEW RELEASES” is selected. To switch between these three lists, just click on the tabs above the show logos, and to browse within each list, just hold your mouse cursor above either the up or down arrows that are above and below the list of show titles. To find out more about any show and to go to that show’s special detail page, just click on either the logo in the top half of the selector, or on the title in the lower half of the selector!

If you already know what show you’re interested in, there are even quicker ways of going directly to the show that you’re looking for. On the right side of every page on our site, near the top is a drop-down list of show titles. Clicking on the arrows next to the SHOW LIST title (these arrows look a little bit different on a Mac and on a PC) will bring up a list in alphabetical order of all the titles that MTI represents. Because this list is pretty long (and we’re awfully proud of this long list) if you want to skip ahead to a title that begins with a letter not near the beginning of the alphabet - we’ve got another trick up our sleeves. If, say, you wanted to select West Side Story , you could simply click on the down arrow, and type in the first letter of the title - in this case, a “W” - and the list will automatically jump to the titles beginning with the letter W.

Then just click on the title that you’re looking for, and you’ll be taken directly to the show page for that title.
Of course, if you’re not exactly sure of the title, but know some of the words in the title, you might need to use the search box. For example, if you know you wanted to look up a show that you’d heard about, something like Forum - you might not be able to find it - but try typing a keyword or two into the search box - then click the GO button:

You’ll then be directed to a list of search results, which will include the full title of the musical that you are looking for, in this case, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.

MTI also has a few special collections that have featured shortcuts on our front page - they’re so special that for us - each is a ‘golden star’ - and that’s just what they are!

At the bottom of our new homepage, you'll see the MTI SPECIAL COLLECTIONS, with gold stars for each of these collections:
1. As exclusive licensor of Musicals from the Disney Collection , MTI is proud to represent these titles, the very best in family entertainment.
2. MTI’s Kids Collection 30-minute musicals that have been adapted to be perfect for elementary schools and elementary-school aged performers.
3. MTI’s Broadway Junior Collection adapts classic and contemporary musicals into 70-minute editions perfect for middle-school aged performers.
4. MTI’s Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) Collection are condensed versions of shows designed to be performed by small casts - adults performing for kids!
5. MTI School Editions are full-length adaptations of contemporary titles geared for easy performance by high school students - adapting vocal ranges and objectionable language - while keeping the full spirit and feel of the original title.
6. MTI’s Concert Collection are single songs with orchestral parts ready for creating your own concert evening.
Just click on any of these special “Gold Star Collections” and you’ll immediately see exactly what you’re looking for - a great time-saver if you are, say, a middle-school teacher who’s had great success with our Broadway JR collection (Most do!) and want to browse for your next musical.
FIND A SHOW
Another thing that we’re really excited about is our new “Find a Show” section. Just click on FIND A SHOW in the menu at the very top of any page to get started!

There are two ways to search here - you can either search by keywords - like Forum or Millie - or by an author’s name.

In this case, we’ve chose Stephen Schwartz, and pressed enter, and our search results bring up 7 titles that are currently in our catalogue.

By default, our pages only display 6 titles at a time, to make you pages load faster. So to see the rest of the titles, you can click on the page number or side arrows at the top right of the search results page to see additional pages...

Or you can change the number of titles displayed on each result page.

Also on the FIND A SHOW page is our new show search tool - a way to find shows that exactly fit the needs of your theatre. Say you want a show that has a small cast of mostly women - or if your theatre likes to focus on newer, edgier musicals - this tool will help you find titles that exactly fit you needs!

You can filter through our titles by using as much or as few criteria as you want. Just click on any of the main categories to get started. When you click, the category will expand with a number of checkboxes. If you choose, say, casting - you can choose titles that might be perfect for a small of excellent singers:

By clicking on the grey SUBMIT button either above or below the selectors, you’ll then be given your search results - at this time, we have 21 titles in our catalogue that might be perfect for you.

Just as before, you can flip through the several pages of search results using the arrows at the top right of the search results area, or you can change the number of titles displayed at once. For this example, I’m going to choose to view all of the search results.

Also, note the checkboxes that contain the search criteria we’ve searched by. If you found that your search narrowed your selection too much, you can simply uncheck one of the search criteria to remove it.

In the search results area, you’ll see the logo for each show title, along with some general information about the title - show themes, cast size, and general show rating.
You’ll also see three options below: Add to Favorites, License and Perusal. Adding a show to your list of favorites can make it easier to keep track of a number of show that you are considering as you narrow your selection. The License and Perusal buttons each will take you directly to our license application or perusal request form.
If you are logged in with your MyMTI Account, you can order directly through our automated system, which can save up to a week off of application processing times!
THE NEW SHOW PAGE

Our new showpage layout is really the heart of the new MTIshows.com experience. With our new tab-based information organization, it’s easier than ever to find what you’re looking for!
You’ll also notice big REQUEST LICENSE and REQUEST PERUSAL buttons, making it easier than ever to license a title from MTI.
As soon as you land on the page for a show, you’ll hear the MTI showtunes player begin to cycle through the audio clips we have for each song in the show. If you’d prefer to browse in silence, you can stop the player at any time. Nearly all of our shows have audio clips now, but for the few titles or songs that are included in a show that don’t have an audio clip, you’ll still see the title, but it will be in grey, and won’t play.
Underneath the brief informational paragraph about the show, you’ll see a series of tabs, as a way of helping you to find the information that’s important for you when choosing a show!
A full, scene-by-scene synopsis is available for most of our titles. “Resources” includes all additional resources available for this title from MTI to help make your production easier. “Materials” is a full listing of the shipping rehearsal set, as well as the orchestration(s) available for the show. “Upcoming” includes a list of upcoming productions of this title.
New tab-based design makes finding important information easier than ever!
